*Veteran discounts available. Contact us for more information* Equine therapy utilizes the bond between humans and horses to promote healing and personal growth. This innovative therapy is beneficial for people of all ages, helping them overcome challenges and enhance their overall well-being. Equine therapy has been shown to help with a variety of conditions including: Mental health: Equine therapy can help reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and improve emotional well-being and self-confidence. It can also help with behavioral problems, relationship issues, grief, addiction, and eating disorders. Self-esteem: Working with horses can help people build self-esteem. Cognitive: People with learning disabilities can learn through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic methods. Physical: Therapeutic or adaptive riding can be a great source of exercise. Other conditions: EAT can help people with autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, and multiple sclerosis (MS). Equine therapy involves working with specially trained horses while being supervised by a horse trainer. The therapy focuses on learning to care for the animals rather than learning to ride. The presence of an animal can trigger the release of hormones like serotonin, prolactin, and oxytocin, which can help reduce stress and symptoms of depression and sadness.
